Maeve is a contemporary Fine Artist from London. Her Art celebrates women by reclaiming vintage imagery and recreating it. Creating hand painted oil paintings that include text, painted in contrasting glossy enamel sign writing paint.

Maeve's appreciation of theater, fashion and film has always informed her practice. She is captivated by popular culture, magazine covers, vintage posters and advertisements that depict aspiration and invoke a sense of glamour. Her Art is an extension of her study of the power of language and how it effects one’s environment. Interested in the spiritual movement that preaches about how the 'power of thought' can be used to manifest one’s desires. She typically focuses on one or two words in conjunction with the format of advertising to create an emotional response. Her process is initially ignited by a need to combat negative emotions. Drawing on a positive mantra that comes to her as an aid, she designs a visual representation of an outcome.
Maeve takes old fashioned PLAYBOY covers and reinterprets them with empowered and positive words.
